My sister-in-law, Kim, introduced me to swagbucks.com. This is a search engine site that you can use (just like google), which will help you earn swagbucks, which you can turn into Amazon.com gift certificates. Kim has earned $10 in gift certificates and is saving up to buy a Wii game for her kids. Amazon has everything, so I am sure that you could find something you want! A Winter Blast Weekend!
This last weekend was our junior high retreat. Curtis and I both went to lead our girls and guys. Cade went with us to Iowa, but we dropped him off to stay with Grandma Glenna and Grandpa Bill.
Curtis and I had a nice weekend with our kids. No behavorial problems, which is always nice. Of course we pray for that spiritual awakening in each of them. They are just at the point in their lives where they are starting to take this spiritual journey by themselves and not under their parent's leading. One of the girls that attended has come to my small group Bible study all year, but her family does not come to church. She seems to follow her friend's leading, and I really prayed that this weekend I would see a breakthrough and she would start to take ownership. Though I did not see this, I know that God is working . . . pray for Olivia!
Cade enjoyed his time in Ames. Grandma and Grandpa have a bunk bed, so he enjoyed being his usual monkey self and climbing up and down. He can not sleep on the top until he is 4, but he sure wanted too!
And since he is still working on using the potty, you get to see his nice undies! And I have to say that he is doing remarkably better at using the toilet. He can tell us now when he needs to go potty and even poopy! The only problems we are running into are when we head to church and he is in the nursery - sorry my nursery workers! Thanks for all the prayer!

Another Baby in the Family!
So if you have not heard yet, our family is expecting another little one in July! We just found out yesterday that we will be having another boy! Yippeee! We have all the clothes, and the boys can share a room (which will be nice that we may not have to move for a little while longer - we only have 2 bedrooms!). We have no clue about a name yet . . . we will see! Anybody have any decent websites with baby names and meanings? Each website I look at is weird!
Our little guy is 11 ounces, and all the measurements of his body seemed to be right on schedule with the due date - July 21. The technician could not tell us the length, but he was too big to get a full body profile. That was about all we found out. Hopefully there will be no compications with these tests. With Cade I had a bloodclot on my placenta, so things got a little scary for awhile. We trust that the all is in the Lord's will!

No Time to Backtrack!
We have not had many eventful moments in the last two months, so I have not had much to post about. I will not backtrack to tell you about the daily grind, but hopefully point out a few happenings of life here!
Cade has been determined to go potty on the toilet, but we have not seemed to master this act yet . . . we have been at it 3 weeks. Some days are good and some days are definately not. Getting poopy in the toilet is almost impossible, and I have been embarrassed lately, as two people in our nursery at church and my Bible study have had to change poopy pants . . . I am so sorry Kay and Marge. I do not enjoy this process, but hopefully in the end it will happen. We want to be free of the diaper, but we don't want it 100% yet. Responsibility does not come easy. I am sorry but I do not have any potty training pictures . . . I will spare you!
Cade has been enjoying puzzles lately. I have some large floor puzzles that we work on together. If I get the pieces lined up as they should go, he can put them in. He is learning patience and determination as he puts these puzzles together. Grandma Glenna and Grandpa Bill just sent him a small tool puzzle, so we have enjoyed that the last few days. Thank you for the Valentine's Day gift! He can actually put together the Thomas and Friends puzzles we have - 6 pieces each. Check out the picture below to see some of Cade's work!
We had some beautiful weather this week . . 65 degrees in February! Yippee! Cade and I enjoyed time outside and even a walk (o how I miss walks) on Tuesday! We had to wash Cade's playground because the bird's found it to be a nice pirching place this winter. After we had it washed and it started to dry, Cade has once again enjoyed his playground!
He has also grown a love for swords, shields, and bow/arrows. The Chronicles of Narnia - the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - has become one of our favorite movies, therefore that is why we are enjoying our new "tools." The Disney movie Robin Hood is also a favorite! We have spent many hours hunting in our home - bears, alligators, dinosaurs, jaguars, and more. No bad guys live in our home and we only shoot animals. I guess the imagination is starting to run! So in the photo above you will see Cade's two swords from his play outside - two sticks!
