Joel was off school on Thusrday so he got to stay home with Grandma, Grandpa, Callie, and Mommy while Cade went to school. He wasn't sure what to do with himself. He played a bit with Grandpa and the army men. Callie, Mommy, and he went on a bike ride to a couple garage sales. Grandma got him set up on her computer to play a special computer game. And we all played together in the sandbox after lunch. Life didn't seem quite right without Cade home, but Joel did enjoy his first day off.

Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony!
Joel and his class had a wonderful graduation ceremony. Joel held the Bible for the pledge, shared a Bible verse from memory, recited a few poems, read from his reader, and sang with his class a song. What a beautiful ceremony displaying all of the academic growth Joel made over this year!
Joel's Knee - May 23
After Joel's crash on his bike, we waited to see his knee heal. Unfortunately it didn't seem to be healing as it should, and when Joel came home from school
one day he had a large bump on his knee. His knee was red and the bump looked white so I thought it was infected. I started poking it with a needle to release any infection but nothing came out. Joel was really uncomfortable so I waited for Curtis to come home and work on him. After some digging around, Curtis discovered a rock in Joel's knee. It got lodged in his knee in the fall and it started to heal around it. Thankfully Curtis got the rock out and Joel's body isn't fighting a foreign object anymore. Wow! A rock in his knee for almost 3 weeks!
Kindergarten Graduation Celebration!
We enjoyed celebrating with Joel and his class the accomplishment of finishing Kindergarten. The kids signed each other's Oh the Places You'll Go books and had a fun photo booth at the reception with the same theme. Thank you Lord for giving us the privilege to be Joel's parents to see how you will grow him, and take him many places in life. May he be a whole hearted follower of You and desire your ways through all the paths of life's journey.
Joel's PCA Fun Day!
Joel had a great FUN DAY at school! The Kindergarten through second graders enjoyed a day full of games and fun! Thank you to our amazing PCA teachers for a fun day!
Sparks Family Time!
I took the trek with the kids to Eastern Iowa to my cousin Lee's daughter's high school graduation. Lindsay was in my wedding 12 years ago! Wow! Time has flown! What fun! We have created many memories with the Crock family over the years and it is always fun to celebrate! So many from our family made it, so it was nice to connect - Opal & Steve, Grandma, Mom & Dad, Jeremy & Katie & Kids, and the Crock Kids! My kids enjoyed being on the farm. Luke and Logan even let the boys bottle feed their bottle calf. The boys had a lot of fun playing with their cousins during the evening, and had a hard time leaving. It is always wonderful to be with family.

Kindergarten Graduate Coming!
Kindergarten Graduation is next week! What a wonderful year our Joel has had. He has had a great class and a wonderful teacher for his first year of school. Mrs. Whitlock was a delight to have in our lives and Joel just adores her. What a privilege to celebrate this year!
The Eve of Summer Vacation!
Cade had baseball practice on Thursday evening. Daddy was gone to the state track meet, so we all went to practice. Grandpa watched the practice, while Grandma and the kids and I went to the playground. The weather was beautiful so it was wonderful to be out.

May 19 - Garage Sale Find!
We took a little walk to a nearby garage sale, and come home with a POTTY SEAT! Callie was so excited to find it and immediately put it in our stroller like we were going to buy it. She had no hesitation and the deal was done. Hopefully she will start using it more consistently soon.
Church Cleaning Day!
We spent the morning and early afternoon cleaning the church building. The kids found some big boxes to play in and had quite a time playing together! I love their smiles!
Sand Delivery Day!
Our sand arrived this morning! This May morning was really chilly so the kids go their fleece jackets on to go play, but their feet were frozen. Hopefully when more sunshine and warmth arrive we will be digging, digging, digging!! Thank you Daddy for making us a fun sandbox to play in!
