Day 3 Disneyland

We knocked day three out of the park at Disneyland and hit so many rides!  The extra hour we had from staying on Disney Property was golden!!  We started at the non-Fast Pass Matterhorn ride because the line for this ride is always HUGE.  We waited a bit, but hardly at all.

Dumbo! Joel and Daddy got one elephant, Cade got one to himself, and Callie and I rode in our elephant leading them all!

Carousel!  Daddy and Callie rode one Neigh (Callie couldn't say horse yet, so she called them neighs!), Cade and Joel each got their own, and Mommy was the photographer!

On to the Tea Cups!

On our way to It's A Small World, Joel spotted Captain Hook walking to his spot for the day.  We quickly ran to him and got a picture with him!  Yipee another character!

It's A Small World!  No wait . . . we jumped right on the boat!  This was my Grandma Opal Bents' favorite ride!

We headed to Frontierland next!  The boys rode on the wooden roller coaster while Callie and I waited.  Then we all headed to Pirates of the Caribean!  A little wait, but not bad.  The park was starting to fill up and we were scurrying to any ride we could!

Winnie the Pooh!

The boys and I went back to Big Thunder Railroad to use our Child Swap option while Daddy and Callie strolled around so she could rest.

When we got off of the railroad, we saw Jesse.  Unfortunately we caught her at the last moments of her time so we didn't get to say hi, but we did get a picture with her in the background!

The boys did Splash Mountain and then we found a place to eat looking out to Tom Sawyer Island!  It was starting to heat up!

Time for Mommy and the boys to hit Splash Mountain!

The crowds were growing so we decided to head over to Tom Sawyer Island to get away a bit.  The boys enjoyed the caves and running a bit.  We were getting hot so we decided to start to head back to the hotel for a rest before our evening fun. We knew we would not be back at Disneyland so it was hard to say goodbye.  We did get to go on so many rides so we were feeling fulfilled, but it would always be fun to stay longer.

A train ride before we headed out of the park.

Look how hot they are!!

We tried ToonTown but there were so many people and the sun was beating down.  We stayed for about five minutes before we decided to head to the monorail.

Wait, we still had a Child Swap pass for Mommy and the Boys to hit the Matterhorn.  The boys loved that this was one of the first roller coasters at Disney.

And we couldn't leave without trying driving a car at Utopia.  Unfortunately they wouldn't let Mommy and Callie go.  The boys had fun, but we were definitely HOT!

Goodbye Disneyland!

Cade's Birthday - June 19 - Day 2 Evening

Curtis' friend Zeke and his son joined us on the afternoon of our second day at Disney for some fun!  Curtis and Zeke swam with the boys at the hotel while I stayed in the room with Callie while she slept.  We then headed to Downtown Disney to celebrate Cade's birthday and eat some food at a  yummy restaurant!  The kids received special pieces of balloon art and Cade got a special dessert!  We then walked to a souvenir store in Downtown Disney and the boys picked out their one toy for the trip!  Cade picked out a metal toy gun (I didn't get a pic!) and Joel wanted an assortment of characters from the movie Inside Out.  They were both really excited!  We stopped and window shopped a bit as we walked backed to the hotel. We got a picture of Zeke and Curtis with the kids before they left.  And finally we enjoyed fireworks from our bedroom window over Disneyland's Castle!  What a special way to end Cade's birthday and another wonderful day at Disney!!

California Adventure Park - Day 2 - June 19

Happy 9th Birthday Cade Odell!!
We spent day #2 at California Adventure Park!  We were some of the first to enter the park at 7am and we headed straight to the Cars ride!  We attempted to get a Fast Pass to see some Frozen Characters but that didn't work out, so instead of losing time we headed to ride the Cars ride.  Surprisingly there was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it.  It was an awesome ride!  Curtis went with the boys first and then we used the Child Swap option and I got to ride.  We loved the Child Swap option because the boys got to ride on all "big" rides twice.  Carsland was really fun!  We even got to see Lightning McQueen driving down the Main Street in town!

We headed over to Bugs Life Land next!  This area was great because Callie could ride on almost all of the rides!  She and I went on the Lady Bug Tea-Cups at least three times while the boys did the Bug Bumper Cars.  We also enjoyed the Hot Air Balloon ride and Caterpillar Roller Coaster.  There were great "little kid" rides!

On our trek over to the Wilderness Area (Planes!) we stopped the front steps of Monsters University and we found Sully!  We got our first family picture of the trip here!  So fun!

Next up . . . the water ride!  Curtis went with the boys first and he got a bit wet and the boys stayed dried.  I went next with the boys and got soaked, of course!!  This was a fun water ride and a great way to cool off as the day started to get warmer!

After going on Soarin', we watched a fun music show on the Main Street.  Joel and Daddy went on Soarin' again while Cade, Callie, and I watched the rest of the show and headed to find some lunch!  I love the live shows at Disney the best!  The performers are great!
