Conference Championship Football Game!

We had a really exciting second weekend in October with Cade's 5th Grade PYFL football team making the championship game. Our 5th grade team beat everyone on our side of the conference, so we played Dixon, who had beat out the teams on the north side of the conference. The boys had a hard week of practice, and much excitement and pressure surrounded this game. This was the first time the 5th graders could bring home the championship.
Curtis got the privilege of broadcasting the 7th and 8th grade championship games on WZOE during the morning hours. Both Princeton teams won. Callie, Joel, and I spent a lot of time wandering between PHS and playing in the backyard waiting for Cade's game. Unfortunately the weather turned from wet to rainy at the start of Cade's game which made for the field very wet and hard to navigate. The game was tied 0-0 all throughout. The boys battled really well. It wasn't until
the last two minutes that Dixon broke through for a touchdown. It was so sad to see our boys do everything the coaches asked them to and end up with a loss. I know it will be one of many loses in Cade's career, but definitely one which will stay in his mind. He played with all his heart. We were so very proud of him.

Rosie Fun!

Everyday we need a ride on Rosie! I think it is safe to say, she loves her birthday present!

Applesauce Fun!

We successfully made some delicious applesauce with the apples we picked up at the Cook's home! We really liked the Jonagolds the best we think. They made the pink sauce. It is tasty. To sweeten up the other apples, we added honey this year. Plus Cinnamon Bark Vitality Essential Oil was added to every batch. Yummy!

Playing Outside!

The kids have been outside almost every day after school playing on Rosie, or in the sandbox at the park. For the most part they get along great and do not argue. It is fun to see Joel and Cade creating worlds together. I hope they are friends for life.

Awana Vest

Callie got to wear her Cubbies Vest to Awana! She looks great! She has been working hard to memorize her verse each week. Now Momma better get
moving on getting her patches sewed on!

First Ride on Rosie!

On October 4th, Callie got to try out her birthday present from Grandpa Bill and Grandma Glenna! Callie received a horse tree swing from them for her birthday! We got the swing up early versus waiting for her birthday, so we could enjoy many rides on it before the cold weather arrived. She named the horse Rosie on one of her first rides! All three of the kids love the horse swing. Rosie has provided much fun for us this month of October!

Apple Picking!

After school on Friday we went out to the Cook's home to pick apples! Grandma Glenna, Grandpa Bill, and Grandma Bev all came along. We had great success and filled many bags full of apples! We have lots of work to do now!

Friday Baking Fun!

Grandma Glenna made some delicious yummies for us on Friday! She worked hard in the kitchen making a delicious trifle, banana bars, and a lot of applesauce!

Grandma and Grandpa Arrive!

Grandma and Grandpa came on Wednesday evening to join in on our fun week withou Daddy. The kids couldn't believe they made two trips so close together. Fun!
On Thursday, Callie and I took Grandma and Grandpa to some garage sales and the park! The weather was beautiful and we had a fun morning together!

Hans!

We just love our neighbor's dog Hans!! He is a bright spot in our days and brings our kids so much joy! How fun it would be to have a dog, but my body and mind are constantly tired and adding an animals to the plate just sounds dreadful. Maybe someday we can have a special companion. I know it would bring much joy to our kids!

Evenings Without Daddy!

Evenings without Daddy often feel long and hard because of tired minds and bodies. We had much to accomplish in our first two evenings of the week while Daddy was away. Cade had his mammal project due the next week and our weekends are so full we knew accomplishing it then, would be almost impossible. We made a goal to accomplish the poster board during this week, and work on the speech part closer to the date of the presentation. Thankfully Callie and Joel played together nicely. Usually it is the opposite, so I had to get a picture of this happiness happening. This moment made my evening so much less stress filled. I could then direct Cade with his project. Cade did an excellent job typing out the headings, cutting, and gluing his dingo pictures on his poster board. Being a family takes work on everyone's part to make it all happen. I was thankful for this successful evening together.

Baking!

Callie and I did some baking together this week! We made flourless oatmeal bars which had chick peas in them. Callie was mixing them up for us in the Manual Food Processor! We also made up a couple batches of Rice Krispie treats for Cade's football team dinner! She loves helping in the kitchen!

Fisherman!

Here is our expert fisherman catching some Trout late at night! He is having a great time on his trip with the men!

Sidewalk Chalk

Daddy left for the church men's fishing trip to Branson, MO yesterday,  so our days don't have as many bright spots in them with Daddy stops at home throughout the day. We started our first day without him with some sidewalk chalk fun! We had a really fun time creating together!

Wednesday Lunch Date!

Callie and I have enjoyed going to lunch with Vickie and Luanne after Explorers Bible Study this Fall. A couple times we have walked at the park before our lunch. We have tried different spots around town and have learned I know I like my favorites for a reason, the price and service are right. Trying new places has not been my thing! The company, though, has always been nice! Vickie and Luanne really spoil us!

HOT HOT September Saturday!

We had some very hot weather roll in near the end of September, which made for some very hot people with our Saturday outdoor activities. Joel had a soccer game in the morning, and Cade a football game in the afternoon (which took two hours longer than normal because of a man having heat stroke and the ambulance coming!). Daddy had to be a part of a funeral on this day, and also officiate an outdoor wedding. It felt like we were all melting this day!! Let's just say we were all best by our full day and the heat on this Saturday.

Lunch!

On September 21st we enjoyed playing with Cade at recess and eating lunch with Joel at school!! It is always fun when we can join the boys at school!

First PYFL Home Game!

We enjoyed our first home game and a victory to go with it Homestead weekend! We played on Sunday because of the Saturday excitement in town. The boys played great. It was fun to watch them have success on the field.
