Sky Zone Fun!

We were hoping for baby Anderson’s arrival this weekend, but instead we got to have a lot of fun going to a trampoline park and being together one last time!! The kids had a great time at Sky Zone! Cade lived on the dodgeball court, Joel loved the Ninja Warrior coarse, and Callie conquerored event after event. Definitely worth our half and half of fun with a little stop at Culver’s for dinner after! Baby will be here before we know it! Living up our last moments before the Anderson’s and Odell’s can’t fit in the same vehicle together!

Missionary Visit

We had the joy and privilege of hosting Walter, a missionary from overseas, for a weekend. The kids enjoyed his company and he was nice to host. He had a few dietary restrictions that put me through the roof with stress, but after he was here I realized I could easily do it again! Always growing! Always learning! We are looking forward to his return someday!

Practice

We are tired of being inside so we made our way out to the gym to have some hitting and throwing practice. I love when our family does sports together!

Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day!! We worked hard on Joel’s box this year but again struggled to come up with a design I could really make possible. He has a very creative mind, but a very uncreative Mom! He knows exactly how he wants things to look, but when it comes to putting the thoughts on paper, Mom can’t come through. So this time we went from making a hotel which we painted to a party house which we covered in paper to look more festive and fun! We added in the pictures of his classmates. Each had a ballon in their cubby which they received when they left their valentine treat in the door. Hopefully he was happy with the results. The mind of this boy is something amazing. He just needs the tools to help all their plans happen, and his Momma ain’t got that creativity element he needs!
Daddy took Callie and Mommy to a Valentine’s Day lunch at Culver’s. And then Daddy surprised everyone and brought gifts home at dinner! Callie and Mommy got potted flowers! Joel got his own baseball and some wiffle balls to practice batting with. Cade got his first leatherman knife. He was so so excited!

Goof Ball!

We were having a fun root beer float snack this evening and Joel got his goofy going! We had been talking about when Josh and Tori’s baby would be arriving, and the next thing we know, Joel brought the sodas in like this, just cracking up laughing at himself. He is a goof ball of fun!

The Adventures of Hairs

Hairs and her babies adventures never end! I love when I walk into her room, and see that she has played make believe with them. She really can play by herself and imagine!

Ice Fishing

We ventured out to the Glass’s home to check out the ice fishing and hopefully do some sledding. Unfortunately the slope of their hill and the depth of the snow made for an unsuccessful sledding trip. Daddy got a couple of fishing holes dug and Callie found that interesting for awhile. The Glass family came outside and played with us which was unexpected, but made the day a whole lot of fun. The kids had a big game of hide and seek happening in the woods. They included Callie in their running and chasing, and she had a fun time. It was nice for our kids to have some friends to run and play with. Tim and Curtis chatted on the ice, and Mommy and Jeralyn chatted outside for awhile but then went in to be warm.  No fish were caught, but it was still a great afternoon.

Snow Fun!

Snow much fun! We had snow arrive! It was pretty fluffy so it was hard to build much from it, but we were able to use the hills in thePHS parking lot to have a little sledding fun! Daddy got to use his snow blower and help many neighbors with their driveways and sidewalks!

Baby Shower Prize!

Callie won a GIANT Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Candy Bar at Tori’s Baby Shower! She was so excited she got to go! And definitely excited to eat it up!

Static Fort Fun!

Joel got the “PCA Virus” along with 70% of the school! Eek! We had a rough weekend of a high fever with him. We used our essential oils fiercely but also had to use Tylenol with him to get his fever down late one night. We haven’t used Tylenol in over four years since we began our oiling journey. The Tylenol didn’t bring it down but thankfully the fever didn’t raise any higher. Joel stayed home from school a couple days to get his strength back. Thankfully we had a snow day which also gave him another day to get well.
While Home we had some blanket fort fun, and a whole lot of static!

Sewing Girl!

This little lady is loving the idea of sewing! Mommy got out a needle and thread to get her new Cubbies Apple Badges on and before we knew it, Callie had a square napkin all sewn up around the edges! With four hands, she can make a nice stitch!

Quick Wisconsin Trip!

While the kids were playing their computers, I thought of a fun idea to head up to Madison to see Josh and Tori. Our day was free, so we decided to take advantage of some time out of town! We pulled together some snacks, got our clothes on, and headed out! Last minute Odell craziness! Tori’s Birthday was just a few days out, so we thought we might as well celebrate!  They were excited to hear of our comings, and worked hard to find some Wisconsin Women’s Hockey tickets so we could join them at the game. Plus they had red Wisconsin apparel for us all! Wisconsin came away with the win, and we hit up Mod’s Pizza after the game before coming home. Mod’s is now a new favorite! Can’t beat, Make your own pizza!

Saturday Morning!

The kids are only allowed to play on their electronic devices on the weekends, so Saturday mornings usually look something like this. Electronic excitement! Grandpa Bill scored Google Chromebooks  at a garage sale in Gilbert. The kids have felt pretty sweet to have their own computers. Learning how to let the world of the internet into our kids’ lives is a bit daunting, and something we have been very slow on. Technology so quickly become addicting especially for these little minds. It is a continual process of trusting our Savior to protect their ears and eyes as we let them into a world of endless possibilities and evil.

Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary!

Grandma Glenna and Grandpa Bill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 24, 2018. They enjoyed a trip to Hawaii with Uncle Steve, Aunt Opal, Uncle Dan, and Aunt Vickie. They had over two fun filled weeks on the islands filled with moments of excitement and site seeing along with relaxation! Enjoy some of favorite shots of them together in Hawaii!
